Senior Financial Analyst / Accountant

Job Description

Our client, located in Ramsey, NJ is adding a Senior Financial Analyst / Accountant to the team.

In this role the ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assist in the preparation and transmission of Month End reporting
  • Assist in the monthly close procedures including proper period end cut-off and accounting close schedule
  • Prepare general ledger account analysis and reconciliations relating to both balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Review and process accounting adjustments based on review, analysis and reconciliations of accounts within area of responsibility
  • Prepare reports, schedules and other documents required for both internal and external audits
  • Perform special projects/requests, as required
  • Assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of the system of internal controls. As related to the branch operating policies & procedures
  • Identify areas of internal control weakness and report findings to manager

Requirements for the position include:

  • B. S. Degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 8-10 years of related work experience
  • Strong PC skills in Windows-based environment. Working knowledge of the following software packages: Excel, Hyperion, SAP, Word
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and leadership skills required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
