Java Developer 5662
The Java Developer develops web applications for Extranet/Intranet/Internet sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Using specifications documented by the Web Project Manager, builds and maintains assigned web applications for business units
-In collaboration with the project team, helps in the overall planned delivery of the assigned application
-Responsible for conceptually understanding the real-world business use of the applications within assigned projects
-Responsible for meeting deliverable dates as agreed upon during the project planning stage
-Responsible for working on a multiple-project schedule with several projects at once in addition to on-going production support on assigned projects/applications
-When assigned, maintains and supports applications after applications are introduced to the production environment
-Responsible for staying current with the latest changes in the technology used in-house as well as maintaining a familiarity with new and emerging web technologies
Qualifications:
-Developing enterprise web applications in web based language(s)
-Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, designing and developing web applications collaboratively with technical, business, and graphic art resources
-Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment with complex project requirements and tight deadlines
-Experience working on both independent projects and team integrated projects
-Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new languages or tools to a knowledge level sufficient for developing applications
-Experience working on applications that integrate with common ERP's (ex. SAP) and data structures of common enterprise RDBMS's (ex. SQL)
-Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, executing on good planning and organization skills to deliver quality applications and solutions
-Demonstrated ability to use various technologies (ex. AJAX/JAVA Script frameworks such as the Yahoo! UI Library) to create robust applications with Web 2.0 user interfaces
Technical Skills (Minimum experience levels):
HTML, HTML5 - 3 year
Java Script (AJAX, Dojo, JQuery) - 4 years
Java (Java Server Faces Framework, Ant builds) - 6 yrs
SQL (Microsoft SQL 2008) - 3 years
Eclipse IDE based development or IBM RAD based development - 3 years
WebSphere (version 6.1 or higher) - 3 years
Additional Experience, Preferred:
IBM Websphere Commerce - 3 years
IBM Portal (version 7 or higher) - 3 years
IBM Certified Solution Developer - WebSphere Portal 7.0 Certification
