DescriptionPermanent position for a Director of Operations to manage manufacturing operations for electromechanical aerospace products.
Manage all manufacturing operations, including purchasing, production, testing, quality control, logistics, planning and manufacturing engineering.
Establish and maintain a safe manufacturing environment and implement OSHA standards.
Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement to optimize manufacturing processes.
Improve Production Planning and Scheduling system.
Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the molding and assembly process.
Implement and expand Manufacturing Resource Planning Software (MRP) capabilities.
Manage production standards and procedures.
Evaluate existing tooling, equipment, and machines for overall equipment effectiveness and make replacement recommendations.
Oversee capital projects.
Responsible for preventative maintenance procedures and scheduling.
RequirementsBS Engineering or Manufacturing.
Experience leading cross functional manufacturing teams.
Experience in high part number low, volume production environment.
Experience with manufacturing operations with elastomers and silicones, and bonding to metal.
Experience applying Lean Six Sigma techniques.
Understanding of mold and tool design, elastomer testing, and compound formulationExperience with Defense / Aerospace Manufacturing, ITAR rules, Classified or CUI.
Experience maintaining ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Standards Experience in shock and vibration applications.
Experience with electromechanical machinery and hydraulics.
Bilingual English / Spanish preferred.
