Cost Accountant

Job DescriptionOur client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is currently seeking an accomplished Cost Accountant to join the team.
Here is an overview of the role:
1) Maintain set-up for new items for general ledger posting2) Review SO and PO for proper general ledger posting3) Review and close completed sales orders4) Review BOM for accuracy5) Review monthly and yearly reporting of profit margin by the sales order6) Assist the Finance Team with forecasting COGS7) Perform monthly COGS accruals once revenue is taken8) Assist in month-end closing, including preparation of journal entries, month-end accruals and inventory and non-inventory account reconciliations9) Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conducts research and perform analytical studies in regard to cost analyses and profitability10) Work closely with Accounts Payable Team to ensure purchase orders are closed and that all inventory-related transactions are complete11) Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close12) Perform other duties as requiredCritical Requirements1) A university degree is required.
