Sr. UI/UX Web Designer at Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. in Ramsey, NJ
Position Objective Konica Minolta is expanding its digital and web properties team with a new User Interface / User Experience Designer for our ecommerce site. In this role you will be responsible for usability and creative design for multiple digital and ecommerce projects. As the UI/UX Designer you will provide strategic solutions and the best end to end digital experience through the user journey on our ecommerce site. You must have the ability to collaborate and plan alongside key stake holders to ensure that a great visual and end user experience is achieved. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, curious, analytical, a strategic thinker and able to navigate competing priorities to ensure optimal results. You will excel in providing optimal user experience, creative solutions that drive that combine storytelling and sales conversions. Essential Job Functions o Design experiences with user interfaces that balance ecommerce goals with business strategy while considering technical constraints, user research, data, and analytics o Leverage visual storytelling techniques to design landing pages that merchandise new products, partnerships and services o Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand complex functional requirements and transform them into intuitive design recommendations o Present UI prototypes that illustrate site's functionality and showcase the appearance of the page o Develop detailed wireframe task-flows and user journeys o Iterate and evolve designs by conducting user testing and qualitative sessions to improve engagement, usability, and affinity o Remain up to date on emerging industry trends to provide insight on ways to improve visual design, usability, website functionality, experiences, and conversion rates o Analyze the results of design changes and new content to ensure goals are met, and then further develop designs, as needed o Adhere to branding and design standards across a broad spectrum of application areas and interfaces (web, mobile, desktop) o Optimize and improve on existing user interface designs o Working understanding of SEO techniques and web design components o Establish realistic timelines for project completions and communicate to management and business owners o Ability to understand complex technical and project details, and communicate them simply to non-technical audiences o Driven self-starter who can deeply collaborate and iterate in a timely manner o Ensure compliance with all corporate and global policies and directives o Ability to think creatively, strategically and identify and resolve problems o Stay up to date with latest design and technology trends Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) o Working experience with e-commerce platforms o Demonstrated experience designing for user interfaces and workflows and in developing responsive design patterns and design systems that employ best practice UX and design o Experience with general B2B and B2C eCommerce patterns and user flows o Possesses strong presentation skills and excels at communicating design concepts to non-design stakeholders o Experience with Content Management Systems o Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, in particular XD, Photoshop, Illustrator and Java Script o Working understanding of SEO techniques and web design components o Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies o Extensive project management experience and the ability to manage projects to meet the customer specified due dates o Strong written and verbal communication skills o Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, plus HTML5 Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications o BS in Design, Computer Science, Marketing, or relevant work experience o 5
years' experience of user experience, design and web applications which leverage emergent technologies for both desktop and mobile Konica Minolta Offers:
